Dr Deborah Sims

Research Midwife

Dr Deborah Sims has both clinical experience and research expertise in early parenting support and perinatal mental health. Dr Sims is a registered nurse and registered midwife, experienced in women’s emotional health and wellness, provides a holistic approach to assessment, information, education, non-directive counselling,  referral and support for women on their health journey through all life-stages (adolescence, antenatal, postnatal, dysmenorrhea, cancer, perimenopause and aging.)

She is the Raven Institute of Research CEO, specialising in healthcare research for women in disadvantaged populations. Deborah, an Honorary Clinical Fellow at University Technology Sydney, teaches Evidence to Practice and Academic Writing.

Dr Sims has published five peer-reviewed journal articles and is currently undertaking a Masters Degree in Public Health. Deborah is the Past President of the Australasian Marcé Society and the Secretary of the International Marcé Society.

Dr Deborah Sims is a tenanted clinician at Women’s Health Road.
