‘WHR is a dedicated hub that brings together a multidisciplinary team and digital health platform to offer centralised and coordinated care. This holistic setup means that care is not just about stopping the bleeding—it’s about understanding its physical, psychological, and social impacts of HMB, and responding in real time. Compassion is embedded into every aspect of care and patients are empowered to improve their quality of life’.

‘Completing my medical placement at Women’s Health Road has given me valuable experience and confidence in navigating gynaecological conversations with patients. I appreciated the opportunities provided by my supervisor, Dr. Talat Uppal, and found my time at the clinic both educational and inspiring. I was particularly impressed by the integration of AI technology into clinical consultations—it was a unique and forward-thinking approach that highlighted the exciting potential of digital tools in shaping the future of patient care’.

‘During my elective at Women's Health Road, I had the opportunity to work alongside a passionate multidisciplinary team dedicated to providing compassionate, holistic care to women across all stages of life. I actively participated in gynaecological clinics, observing many procedures and deepening my understanding of patient-centred communication and cultural sensitivity in reproductive healthcare. I also explored first-hand the integration of AI in healthcare, observing how digital tools supported clinicians in personalised care and streamlining clinical decision-making.’

Women’s Health Road is one of the best places I have been so far for my rotation. The atmosphere is so welcoming, not only for me but for everyone. Learning from Dr Talat is a privilege - she is just an inspiration for me to work hard to achieve the best in life, especially in my study.

The exposure WHR provides is amazing; I have been treated not like a student, but as one of them, working together to help the patient. I also developed my passion here to create awareness for heavy menstrual bleeding. I believe that soon WHR will achieve another goal - to help women overcome heavy menstrual bleeding through the Bleed Better campaign.

This is not the end for me; this is just a good beginning for me from WHR. Thank you very much to Dr Talat, Sarah, Khika, Dr Sisi, and everyone there.
