Dr. Sangita Mahesh Aggarwal

Honorary Research Fellow, Obs & Gyn DDU Trainee

Dr. Sangita Aggarwal is a dedicated clinician with extensive experience in women’s health, including fetal medicine, trained in India with completion of medical degree and post-graduation in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and practicing as trainee in Australia for the past five years. She finished Maternal Fetal medicine fellowship in India and holds accreditation in obstetric ultrasound with Fetal Medicine Foundation London. She has worked as clinical research fellow in Fetal medicine unit in Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Sydney and has been associated with Campbelltown hospital. She has been pursuing DDU with ASUM and finds this work incredibly motivating and rewarding

Dr. Aggarwal is passionate about advancing research into Abnormal Uterine Bleeding, focusing on the often-overlooked issue of heavy menstrual bleeding. She believes every woman deserves to have her symptoms recognised and her management choices supported, and she is committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based care to women experiencing abnormal uterine bleeding.

She is proud to be part of Australia’s first Abnormal Uterine Bleeding Hub at Women’s Health Road, where she is working collaboratively on a research project to optimise the role of pelvic ultrasound in AUB management.

Dr. Aggarwal is dedicated to empowering patients through education, advocacy, and innovative clinical practice.

She is keenly interested in research and enjoys spending time reading and travelling.
