Tonya Wasley-Djurasinovic

Specialist Nurse

Tonya Wasley-Djurasinovic is a highly experienced Nurse Specialist with over 25 years of nursing expertise across a diverse range of clinical settings. Throughout her career, Tonya has cultivated a deep passion for patient care, education, and perioperative nursing. Currently she is providing expert care, clinical support and research in collaboration with the specialist at Women’s Health Road.

Prior to her current role, Tonya has held several senior positions, including Clinical Nurse Educator roles across the Northern Beaches, where she played a pivotal role in setting up educational programs and supporting the development of nursing staff. Her extensive clinical background also includes operating theatre roles at both public and private Hospitals across the Local health District, and internationally in the United Kingdom, in Emergency & Peri-operative settings.

Tonya holds multiple qualifications, including a Bachelor of Nursing, & a Certificate in Peri-operative Nursing from the University of Technology, as well as a Graduate Diploma of Nursing & a Certificate in Flexible Learning and Simulation from the University of Tasmania.

Tonya is passionate about fostering teamwork, continuous learning, and delivering compassionate, patient-centred care. Outside of work, she enjoys staying active, spending time with her two dachshunds, and supporting animal rescue initiatives by coordinating medical supply donations to wildlife organizations.

Tonya is a tenanted clinician at Women’s Health Road.
